Factory Acceptance Test (FAT)
The Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) is a complete test of subsea equipment before installation. This test is always performed on newly manufactured equipment, to check whether the equipment will satisfy the performance and function requirements specified by the manufacturer.
Simulated Installation Test (SIT)
The System Integrity Test (SIT) is performed to verify that each module of the system interface with each other as expected. Modules may be from the same manufacturer or multiple manufacturers, which makes the test even more important.
